ZLINE ranges,
specifically.

ZLINE Kitchen and Bath sells its Paramount and Marino ranges in gas, dual-fuel and induction versions, up to 48-inch double-oven models. The newer induction ranges print a table of F and E codes, while the gas and dual-fuel manuals work from ignition and flame symptoms, so a visit starts from the series letters in the model number.

The ZLINE lineup

What is particular
to ZLINE.

The Paramount series covers gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges, including 24-inch induction models, and the Marino series adds gas and dual-fuel ranges up to 48-inch double-oven versions. ZLINE writes one manual per fuel that covers several model prefixes, such as CDR, MDR and PSDR for dual fuel, so the prefix in the model number decides which code table and parts list apply.

Burners relight themselves

Every surface burner on the ZLINE gas ranges has automatic re-ignition: if a draft blows the flame out while gas still flows, the igniter sparks until it catches again. A short burst of clicking during cooking is that system at work.

Sparks at every burner, or only one

On most ZLINE gas ranges, pressing one knob makes all the igniters spark while only the chosen burner gets gas. The PCGR36, PMGR36 and PSGR36 use single-point ignition instead, so on those only the selected burner sparks.

Reversed polarity keeps igniters clicking

ZLINE lists two causes for igniters that keep sparking after the flame is lit: wet or dirty igniters, and a power supply wired with reversed polarity. If the range has dried out and still clicks, the outlet wiring needs checking.

Induction codes split into F and E

On the Paramount induction range, F codes point to internal parts such as the power board, a coil sensor or the power transistor, while E codes report overheating or a supply voltage out of range. The letter tells you whether to wait, call an electrician or book a repair.

Parts

ZLINE matches parts to the model number printed in each product title, such as SINR, SGR or MDR. Lead times for ZLINE range parts were not confirmed on a ZLINE source.

Repair or replace

A ZLINE range with an ignition, flame or induction code problem usually needs one module, igniter or board. Repair is the reasonable first choice, while replacement is worth comparing only when an older unit needs several major parts together.

Questions about
ZLINE ranges.

Why does my ZLINE range spark at every burner when I light just one?
That is how the multi-point ignition on most ZLINE gas ranges works: all igniters spark, but only the burner you chose receives gas. The PCGR36, PMGR36 and PSGR36 are the exceptions, sparking only at the selected burner.
My ZLINE burner flame is yellow or orange. Is that normal?
An occasional yellow flicker is acceptable; a flame that stays yellow can come from candles, cleaning sprays or dust in the room, or from a propane conversion that was not done correctly. If you smell gas, leave and call the gas utility from outside; otherwise book a visit to have the burners and conversion checked.
What does F/4 mean on a ZLINE induction range?
F/4 reports a failed power transistor, the part that feeds current to an induction coil. ZLINE says to turn the range off right away, so switch it off at the breaker and book a visit.
My ZLINE induction range shows E/4. Is the range broken?
E/4 means the incoming voltage is too low for safe operation, which usually starts outside the range. Leave the top off until the supply is steady, have an electrician check it, and book a visit if E/4 remains on good voltage.
