Bosch ranges,
specifically.

Bosch sells slide-in ranges in gas, electric, dual-fuel and induction versions, plus freestanding gas and dual-fuel models. Bosch publishes separate code lists for its slide-in and freestanding ranges, and the freestanding models use a lowercase e-code set of their own.

The Bosch lineup

What is particular
to Bosch.

This page draws on Bosch's two range code pages, one for slide-in and one for freestanding models, and on the use and care manual for its dual-fuel and gas slide-in ranges. The model on the rating label decides which of the two lists applies.

Every igniter sparks at once

On Bosch gas and dual-fuel slide-ins, all igniters spark when any single burner is turned on. Clicking at every burner while you light one is normal; a burner that clicks but will not light usually needs its igniter port cleaned.

Freestanding e-codes

Bosch's freestanding ranges report with codes such as e005, e101 and e126, and uppercase and lowercase can mean different things: E302 is an overheated control panel, e302 an overheated power board. Reading the display exactly matters.

Induction guards its controls

On the induction slide-ins, F5 means hot cookware is too close to the control panel, and F8 means a zone ran too long untouched. Both are protective and clear once the pan is moved or a control is touched.

A flashing, beeping display

The dual-fuel and gas slide-in manual says an error makes the display flash and beep continuously. Bosch then asks you to disconnect power and have the range serviced.

Parts

Bosch's code pages send owners who cannot clear a code to Bosch support for service. Parts availability was not checked on a Bosch source, so no lead time is promised before the label is read.

Repair or replace

Demo mode, a time-limit shutoff, a hot pan near the controls or a zone on during Self Clean needs no part. For lock, sensor and board codes on a slide-in fitted to the counter, a repair usually makes more sense than replacing the range.

Questions about
Bosch ranges.

Why do all the igniters on my Bosch range click when I light one burner?
Bosch's manual says all igniters spark whenever any single burner is turned on, so clicking at every burner while you light one is expected. If a burner clicks but will not light, its igniter port may need cleaning; if clicking goes on with a steady flame, book a visit.
What is the difference between E302 and e302 on a Bosch freestanding range?
Capital E302 means the control panel overheated, and lowercase e302 means the power board did. Bosch lists checks for E302 but sends e302 straight to service.
My Bosch induction range shows F5. Did I break something?
No. F5 means hot cookware is near the control panel. Move the pan away, wait a few seconds and touch any control.
How long should I leave the breaker off for a Bosch freestanding code?
Bosch asks for five minutes off at the breaker before switching it back on.
