La Cornue ranges,
specifically.
La Cornue builds two range families for the US: the CornuFé, with five gas burners or a five-zone induction top over electric convection ovens, and the made-to-order Château, whose vaulted ovens come in gas or electric under gas, French-top, teppanyaki or induction layouts. Only the induction tops print codes, so most visits begin from the configuration and fuel on the rating plate.

All range typesWhat is particular
to La Cornue.
The CornuFé comes as the 36-inch 90, with one large electric convection oven, and the 43-inch 110, with two electric convection ovens, each with a gas or induction top. The Château runs from the compact induction Château 60 up to the Grand Palais 180, each built to order, so the model and serial number decide which guide and parts apply.
A recall on recent CornuFé dual-fuel ranges
La Cornue is recalling CornuFé 90 and 110 dual-fuel ranges made between March 19, 2025 and July 24, 2026, because a test port cap may be missing from the gas manifold. Owners can check the serial number on La Cornue's recall page; the electric ovens stay usable while the gas top is shut off.
Vaulted ovens in gas or electric
Larger Château ranges carry one gas and one electric vaulted oven, while the Château 75 and 90 have a single oven that can be either. A no-heat call therefore starts by working out which fuel feeds the cavity that stays cold.
Letters on the Château induction plates
The all-electric Château ranges print U for a missing or unsuitable pan, H for residual heat, L for the lock and E for an electronic failure. Only the E points to a part; the other letters describe the plate's state.
A thermostat that drifts with age
The CornuFé guides describe an oven that runs hotter as the range gets older. If turning the knob down no longer helps, La Cornue says the thermostat may need replacing, and that is a job for a technician.
Parts
Château ranges are configured to order, so parts are matched to the exact serial number and layout rather than to a model family. Parts lead times could not be confirmed on a La Cornue source.
Repair or replace
A range built to order is almost always worth repairing: a thermostat, an igniter or an induction board is a fraction of the whole. Replacement only makes sense when the body itself is damaged beyond what refinishing can fix.
