Bertazzoni ranges,
specifically.

Bertazzoni builds its US ranges in Guastalla, Italy, in all-gas, dual-fuel and induction versions from 24 to 48 inches, across the Professional, Master and Heritage series. Its manuals publish zone letters and troubleshooting steps rather than numbered codes, so a visit begins from the series, the fuel and what the burners or display are doing.

The Bertazzoni lineup

What is particular
to Bertazzoni.

The Professional, Master and Heritage series share the same fuels: all-gas ranges in 24, 30, 36 and 48 inches, dual-fuel ranges with electric self-clean ovens, and induction ranges with up to six heating zones and a cast-iron griddle. The series and fuel code on the rating label decide which manual and parts apply.

Burners hold on a thermocouple

Each Bertazzoni surface burner has a thermocouple that shuts the gas if the flame goes out. Bertazzoni suggests lighting on the highest flame and holding the knob for four to five seconds so the sensor is hot enough to keep the burner on.

Showroom mode keeps the oven cold

The setup menu includes a showroom function meant for retailers, and Bertazzoni's first answer to an oven that does not heat is to check it is off. A lit display over a cold cavity often turns out to be this setting.

Warm air above the door is by design

Because the ranges fit counter depth, the convection and cooling air leaves through a narrow gap above the oven door. Bertazzoni calls that warm draft normal; only an unusual amount of heat is a reason for a check.

Non-stop sparking after a cleanup

When igniters keep sparking, Bertazzoni's first suspect is a top still wet from cleaning or a boil-over. The range should be switched off and left to dry fully; sparking that continues after that needs a technician.

Parts

Bertazzoni sends parts through a named distributor, and its FAQ says independent servicers can get service guidance from Bertazzoni, so an out-of-network repair is supported. Lead times were not confirmed on a Bertazzoni source.

Repair or replace

Most Bertazzoni range problems sit in one burner, one igniter, one element or one control, and each is replaced on its own. Replacement is worth weighing only when several major parts fail at once on an older range.

Questions about
Bertazzoni ranges.

Why does my Bertazzoni burner go out when I release the knob?
The thermocouple beside the igniter has not heated enough to hold the gas open. Light the burner on high and keep the knob turned for four to five seconds before letting go; if it still goes out, book a visit.
How is the oven lit on an all-gas Bertazzoni range?
Bertazzoni's instructions are to open the oven door, press the thermostat knob in for two seconds, then turn it counterclockwise to the maximum; once the ticking stops you can set the temperature and close the door. If the oven burner will not stay lit that way, book a visit, and if you smell gas, leave and call the gas utility from outside.
My Bertazzoni oven display works but the oven stays cold. Why?
Check that the showroom function in the setup menu is switched off, since it lets the display run without heat. If the oven stays cold with showroom off, book a visit.
What does a flashing H mean on a Bertazzoni induction range?
It means that zone is switched off but still very hot. You can start cooking on it again while H flashes, and the letter goes out once the glass has cooled below roughly 140°F.
