LG ranges,
specifically.

LG sells gas, electric, dual-fuel and induction ranges in the US, including double-oven models with an upper and a lower oven. LG's range code list keeps the two ovens apart, so the same kind of problem carries a different number depending on which oven reports it.

The LG lineup

What is particular
to LG.

This page draws on LG's Help Library list of range codes (saved 23 June 2025) and on LG product pages for the LSGL6337F gas, LSDL6336F dual-fuel, LSIL633TFE induction and LTGL6937F double-oven ranges. The code list names no models, so the rating label decides which codes a range can show.

Upper and lower oven codes

On LG's list, F1 and F2 are upper oven sensor codes while F4 and F5 belong to the lower oven, and the door lock splits the same way into F10 and F20. On a double-oven range, the number tells the technician which oven to open first.

EasyClean is not Self Clean

LG ranges offer a 10-minute EasyClean cycle next to the full self-clean. LG notes that heavy build-up may need extra hand cleaning or the full self-clean, so a short EasyClean leaving residue is not a failure.

HS is a warning, not an error

HS on the display means the range top is above 150°F. LG says it is not an error code; only an HS that stays lit over a cold top needs attention.

Griddle and induction codes

LG's list gives the griddle zone its own codes, F51 to F59, and the front induction zones sensor codes F33 and F34. A code from one zone does not mean the whole top has failed.

Parts

LG's code list sends every code that survives a breaker reset to a repair request, and no part numbers are given. Parts availability was not confirmed on an LG source, so no lead time is promised before the model is read.

Repair or replace

HS, Sb and PF need no repair, and a breaker reset clears many one-off codes. When a sensor, lock or fan code keeps returning, one part is usually the cause, and fixing it tends to make more sense than replacing a smart range with InstaView or a double oven.

Questions about
LG ranges.

My LG double-oven range shows F20. Which oven has the problem?
The lower one. LG lists F20 as the door lock for the lower oven and F10 for the upper oven.
HS is lit on my LG range after cooking. Is something broken?
No. LG uses HS to show the top is above 150°F and says it is not an error code. If HS stays on after the surface is cold, reset the breaker for 30 seconds and book a visit if it persists.
How do I reset an LG range after an F code?
LG asks you to press CLEAR/OFF and try the function again, then switch the breaker off for 30 seconds if the code returns. A code that survives that needs service.
Why did EasyClean leave residue in my LG oven?
EasyClean is a short 10-minute cycle for light soil. LG says heavy build-up may need extra hand cleaning or the full self-clean.
