KitchenAid ranges,
specifically.
KitchenAid sells gas, electric, dual-fuel and induction ranges, including slide-ins, double ovens and commercial-style models. The commercial-style ranges report problems with colored lights and the KitchenAid app rather than a text display.

to KitchenAid.
KitchenAid ranges come as freestanding, slide-in and commercial-style models, single or double oven, in gas, electric, dual fuel and induction. Commercial-style models use knobs, colored lights and an app instead of a code display.
Amber lights mean an error
On KitchenAid commercial-style ranges, blinking amber lights with a tone signal a problem. The code itself is read in the KitchenAid app on a connected range, so the app is the fastest way to tell the technician what the range reported.
White lights are usually normal
Blinking white lights on the same ranges mostly mean Start was pressed too early or the oven is climbing to a new temperature. A lone, steadily lit Start button is how Sabbath mode looks.
Two-in-one burners and Hyper elements
KitchenAid names features such as a 2-in-1 burner on gas slide-ins and Even-Heat Hyper elements on electric ones. These specialty burners and elements are specific parts, so the model number matters when booking.
Every fuel under one badge
KitchenAid offers all four fuel types, so two KitchenAid ranges in neighboring homes can need entirely different parts. Knowing whether yours is gas, electric, dual fuel or induction saves a trip.
Parts
Sensors, fans and many oven parts are shared across Whirlpool Corporation ranges and are easy to find. Commercial-style burners, specialty burners and induction parts are more specific and may need ordering.
Repair or replace
KitchenAid ranges sit in the premium tier, so sensor, fan, igniter and element repairs are clearly worth it. A failed induction board with a cracked top on an older model is the main case for comparing with a new range.
