Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from BlueStar's own guidance for E2 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the zones off and let the glass top cool down.

02

If E2 returns during ordinary cooking, book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into surface element and glass top repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E2 is not the no-cookware symbol. BlueStar shows a separate indicator when a pan is missing, unsuitable or too small.

What you may
notice with it.

The range problems E2 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E2.

Can I clear E2 myself?
Turn the zones off and let the glass top cool down. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did my BlueStar induction range show E2 during a long boil?
E2 means the induction system got too hot, which long high-power cooking can cause. Let the glass cool; a code that returns in normal use needs checking.
Is E2 on my BlueStar induction range a pan problem?
No. A missing or unsuitable pan has its own indicator. E2 is purely about heat in the induction system.

Still showing E2?

Book with the code exactly as it appears, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or scorching — with a code, that is where the diagnosis begins.
