What H
actually means.
After an induction zone is switched off, H stays in its display while the glass above it is hotter than about 140°F. It goes out on its own once the zone has cooled below that.

What to do when H shows on the rangeKind of codeMode, not a failure
Something the range was told to do, or a state it chose on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a demo mode that lights the display but never heats, a pan warning on an induction zone. Nothing has worn out, and no part is needed.
Usually leads toNo repair
Keep hands and heat-sensitive items off that zone until H goes out.
Shows up asInduction Range Not Detecting Pan
An induction zone flashes, beeps, shows its no-pan symbol or switches itself off, even with a pan sitting right on it.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from AGA's own guidance for H on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Keep hands and heat-sensitive items off that zone until H goes out.
Cleared?
The range was set right without a new part. If the same message comes back while a burner or the oven is in use, or the range cuts out again, treat it as a new problem and book it.
What not to do
H is a warning, not an error. It does not mean the zone is still heating.
