What FEE6
actually means.
Whirlpool's help page ties FEE6 to the bake element of the main oven cavity and the wires that feed it. While it is up, the oven may heat slowly, brown only from above, or stay cold.

What to do when FEE6 shows on the rangeKind of codeOven heating
The oven under the burners called for heat and the cavity did not warm the way the control planned. On an electric oven a bake or broil element that has burned open is the usual cause; on a gas oven the igniter and the valve it opens come first. The wiring and the relay are checked before the board takes the blame.
Usually leads toBake and broil elements
An electric range oven that stays cold, heats only from above or below, or will not broil, traced to the elements, their terminals or the relay that switches them.
Shows up asRange Oven Not Heating
The burners or elements on top work, but the oven below stays cold, heats only a little, or never finishes preheating.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Whirlpool's own guidance for FEE6 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Cut power at the breaker for one minute, then switch it back on.
Watch the display for a minute; if FEE6 returns, stop baking and book a visit.
What not to do
FEE6 is not the broil element; Whirlpool gives that part its own code, FEE7.

Whirlpool range repair
Gas range
Open flames on top and a gas-fired oven below, all fed by one supply line behind the range and lit by igniters rather than a match.
Electric range
Coil elements or radiant elements under a smooth glass top, with an electric oven below, all running on a dedicated 240-volt circuit.
Induction range
A glass top that heats the pan itself through copper coils and power boards, over an electric oven, with electronics doing almost all the work.
In Whirlpool's own words
There may be a problem with the main cavity bake element or the associated wiring.
