What F3 E2
actually means.
F3 E2 flags the oven temperature sensor or, on ranges that have one, the warming drawer sensor, along with the wiring between them and the control. The oven may heat unevenly or refuse to start.

What to do when F3 E2 shows on the rangeKind of codeTemperature sensor
The oven sensor sent a reading the control would not accept, or one that climbed well past the setting. A loose plug or a sensor that has drifted is ruled out before the control board, and a temperature that keeps rising means the range is switched off at the breaker first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and thermostat repair
A range oven that bakes hot, bakes slow, takes forever to preheat or posts a sensor code, traced to the sensor probe, the thermostat or the calibration.
Shows up asRange Oven Temperature Wrong
Recipes burn or come out underdone, and an oven thermometer disagrees with the temperature set on the range.
