What F8 E0
actually means.
F8 E0 means the control measured the cooling fan below its expected speed. Whirlpool names three causes: something blocking the airflow, the fan motor itself, or its wiring. Until it reads normally, the control keeps reporting the code.

What to do when F8 E0 shows on the rangeKind of codeFans
The convection fan behind the oven's back wall, or the cooling fan that keeps heat away from the controls, did not spin as fast as the control expected. Grease on the blade and a loose plug are checked first; a tired motor, and on the cooling side a thermal fuse, come after.
Usually leads toConvection fan repair
A convection oven on a range that bakes unevenly, rattles, squeals or never starts its fan, traced to the motor, the blade or the convection element.
Shows up asRange Error Code
The range display shows letters, numbers or a flashing symbol, beeps, and stops the oven, a cooking zone or a clean.

Whirlpool lists F8 E0 for its ranges without naming series; its sister code F8 E2 is the opposite reading, a fan running too fast.
Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Whirlpool's own guidance for F8 E0 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Make sure nothing is blocking the vents around the range, then reset power at the breaker for a minute.
Run the oven briefly and watch for the code; if F8 E0 is back, book a visit before a long bake or self-clean.
What not to do
F8 E0 is about the cooling fan, not the convection fan inside the cavity.

Gas range
Open flames on top and a gas-fired oven below, all fed by one supply line behind the range and lit by igniters rather than a match.
Electric range
Coil elements or radiant elements under a smooth glass top, with an electric oven below, all running on a dedicated 240-volt circuit.
Induction range
A glass top that heats the pan itself through copper coils and power boards, over an electric oven, with electronics doing almost all the work.
