What LLLL
actually means.
Four L letters across the displays mean the ILVE key-lock function is active: all zones are switched off and cannot be started by accident. It is turned on and off by turning two knobs counterclockwise together while every knob is at 0, and OF shows when it is released.

What to do when LLLL shows on the rangeKind of codeMode, not a failure
Something the range was told to do, or a state it chose on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a demo mode that lights the display but never heats, a pan warning on an induction zone. Nothing has worn out, and no part is needed.
Usually leads toNo repair
With every knob at 0, repeat the two-knob counterclockwise turn described in your manual until OF appears.
Shows up asRange Control Panel Not Responding
The touch keys or knobs on the range do nothing, only some keys work, the display is blank or frozen, or it beeps without starting.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from ILVE's own guidance for LLLL on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
With every knob at 0, repeat the two-knob counterclockwise turn described in your manual until OF appears.
Cleared?
The range was set right without a new part. If the same message comes back while a burner or the oven is in use, or the range cuts out again, treat it as a new problem and book it.
What not to do
LLLL does not mean the induction top has failed; the zones are locked on purpose.

Dual-fuel range
Gas burners on top and an electric oven below, the combination most professional-style ranges use, needing both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit.
Induction range
A glass top that heats the pan itself through copper coils and power boards, over an electric oven, with electronics doing almost all the work.
In ILVE's own words
The letters [L][L][L][L] appear on the display. The Key-lock function is deactivated by repeating the same operation. The letters [O][F] appear on the display.
