Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ZLINE's own guidance for E/4 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Stop cooking on the induction zones for now.

02

Have the supply checked by an electrician if E/4 continues, and book a visit if it shows on a verified supply.

Still there?

It usually turns into knobs, switches and controls. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E/4 does not point to a failed board or coil; the range is reacting to what it receives.

What you may
notice with it.

The range problems E/4 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E/4.

Can I clear E/4 myself?
Stop cooking on the induction zones for now. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Who checks the supply when my ZLINE induction range shows E/4?
An electrician. ZLINE's table sends a continuing E/4 to one, because the range is reacting to low voltage coming in.
Does E/4 damage my ZLINE induction range?
ZLINE's manual treats it as protection that stops the range while voltage is low. Keep the top off until the supply is stable.

Still showing E/4?

Book with the code exactly as it appears, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or scorching — with a code, that is where the diagnosis begins.
