What F8
actually means.
F8 on a JennAir range is the meat probe code. The first thing JennAir asks is whether the probe is pushed fully into its socket in the oven wall.

What to do when F8 shows on the rangeKind of codeTemperature sensor
The oven sensor sent a reading the control would not accept, or one that climbed well past the setting. A loose plug or a sensor that has drifted is ruled out before the control board, and a temperature that keeps rising means the range is switched off at the breaker first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and thermostat repair
A range oven that bakes hot, bakes slow, takes forever to preheat or posts a sensor code, traced to the sensor probe, the thermostat or the calibration.
Shows up asRange Oven Temperature Wrong
Recipes burn or come out underdone, and an oven thermometer disagrees with the temperature set on the range.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from JennAir's own guidance for F8 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Push the probe fully into its receptacle, or remove it if you are not using it.
If F8 stays, do the one-minute breaker reset; book a visit if it still returns.
Still there?
It usually turns into temperature sensor and thermostat repair. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
F8 does not describe the oven's own temperature sensor; it concerns the plug-in probe and its socket.

Dual-fuel range
Gas burners on top and an electric oven below, the combination most professional-style ranges use, needing both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit.
