JennAir range
showing F6

F6 is the JennAir range code that points at the oven control itself or at the wiring around it, rather than at a sensor or the door.

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 875-7576

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from JennAir's own guidance for F6 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Cut power at the breaker for a minute, restore it and watch the display.

02

If F6 comes back, book a visit and note what the oven was doing when it appeared.

Still there?

It usually turns into knobs, switches and controls. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F6 is not a message about the Wi-Fi connection or the app.

What you may
notice with it.

The range problems F6 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F6.

Can I clear F6 myself?
Cut power at the breaker for a minute, restore it and watch the display. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does F6 on my JennAir range always mean a new control?
No. JennAir names the wiring as well as the control, and a loose or heat-damaged connector is checked before a board is replaced.
Should I keep resetting my JennAir when F6 appears?
One reset with the breaker off for a minute is the step JennAir gives. Repeated resets will not repair a control or wiring problem, so book a visit if F6 returns.

Still showing F6?

Book with the code exactly as it appears, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or scorching — with a code, that is where the diagnosis begins.
