What F3
actually means.
On GE ranges, F3 most often points to the oven temperature sensor. Without a trusted reading, the oven will not heat properly or will stop mid-cycle.

What to do when F3 shows on the rangeKind of codeTemperature sensor
The oven sensor sent a reading the control would not accept, or one that climbed well past the setting. A loose plug or a sensor that has drifted is ruled out before the control board, and a temperature that keeps rising means the range is switched off at the breaker first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and thermostat repair
A range oven that bakes hot, bakes slow, takes forever to preheat or posts a sensor code, traced to the sensor probe, the thermostat or the calibration.
