ERR 03 tells you the legacy dual-fuel control sees an open circuit on the RTD, the resistance sensor inside the oven that reports cavity temperature. Owners often notice it together with cooling fans that keep running after the oven is off. Wolf range display · also shown as ERR 03, Err 3 What to do when 03 shows on the range ### Kind of code Temperature sensor The oven sensor sent a reading the control would not accept, or one that climbed well past the setting. A loose plug or a sensor that has drifted is ruled out before the control board, and a temperature that keeps rising means the range is switched off at the breaker first. ### Usually leads to Temperature sensor and thermostat repair A range oven that bakes hot, bakes slow, takes forever to preheat or posts a sensor code, traced to the sensor probe, the thermostat or the calibration. ### Shows up as Range Oven Not Heating The burners or elements on top work, but the oven below stays cold, heats only a little, or never finishes preheating. ### Make Wolf The cooking brand of the Wisconsin-based Sub-Zero Group, known for red-knobbed gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges. ### Source Wolf answer: legacy dual-fuel range, error code 03 Legacy Wolf dual-fuel ranges with the oven selector knob display. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for 03 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Cycle the breaker off for about 30 seconds, turn it back on and run the oven once more. 02 If ERR 03 comes back or the cooling fan never stops, book a visit. ### Still there? Cycle the breaker off for about 30 seconds, turn it back on and run the oven once more. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why is the fan still running on my Wolf range with ERR 03? Wolf lists a cooling fan that never stops among the signs of ERR 03. With no trusted temperature reading, the range keeps cooling, and that usually settles once the sensor circuit is repaired. ### Can ERR 03 on a Wolf be fixed by recalibrating the oven? No. An open sensor circuit gives the control no reading to adjust, so an offset setting has nothing to work on. The sensor and its wiring have to be tested. --- **[Read on the site: Wolf legacy dual-fuel range showing ERR 03](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/wolf-df-03/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
