Miele ranges have a Demo mode in the Showroom Program settings. With it on, the display and buttons work but the oven does not heat. Miele range display What to do when Demo Mode shows on the range ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something the range was told to do, or a state it chose on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a demo mode that lights the display but never heats, a pan warning on an induction zone. Nothing has worn out, and no part is needed. ### Usually leads to No repair Go to Settings | Showroom Program | Demo Mode and choose Off. ### Shows up as Range Oven Not Heating The burners or elements on top work, but the oven below stays cold, heats only a little, or never finishes preheating. ### Make Miele A family-owned German company selling professional-style dual-fuel and all-gas ranges in the US. ### Source Miele operating instructions, 30 inch dual fuel range (HR 1924-3 G DF product page), Frequently asked questions Both Miele range manuals read for this page describe Demo Mode the same way. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Miele's own guidance for Demo Mode on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Go to Settings | Showroom Program | Demo Mode and choose Off. ### Cleared? The range was set right without a new part. If the same message comes back while a burner or the oven is in use, or the range cuts out again, treat it as a new problem and book it. ### What not to do Demo mode is a setting, not a failed element. ## What you may notice with it. Go to Settings | Showroom Program | Demo Mode and choose Off. ### Why does my new Miele range show menus but never heat? Demo mode may be on from the showroom. Switch it off under Showroom Program in Settings. ### Does Demo mode on my Miele also stop the induction zones? The induction manual has its own demo setting for the top, reset through a knob sequence. The oven setting is separate. --- **[Read on the site: Miele range with the oven not heating in Demo mode](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/miele-demo-mode/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
