On an electric oven a bake or broil element that has burned open is the usual cause; on a gas oven the igniter and the valve it opens come first. Press CLEAR/OFF and restart the cooking mode. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### What part usually causes F9 on an LG range? LG's list does not name a part, only that the oven is not heating properly. A technician tests the heating circuit, which on a gas or dual-fuel model includes gas parts you should not open yourself. ### Can a power reset really fix F9 on my LG range? Sometimes the code was a one-off, and LG lists the reset first for that reason.
