LG lists F1 and F2 as upper oven thermistor errors. The thermistor is the probe that tells the control how hot the oven is, so the control cannot regulate heat without it. LG range display · also shown as F2 What to do when F1 shows on the range ### Kind of code Temperature sensor The oven sensor sent a reading the control would not accept, or one that climbed well past the setting. Press CLEAR/OFF and try the same function again. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My LG range has only one oven. Can it still show F1? Yes. LG labels F1 for the upper oven, and on a single-oven range that is the only oven. The steps are the same. ### Why does F1 appear only after my LG oven has been on a while? A thermistor or its connector can fail only when it warms up.
