SAbb is how the Kenmore 982.9684 electric range labels its Sabbath setting while you scroll through Settings. It is a chosen mode, and the range behaves differently while it is on. Kenmore range display What to do when SAbb shows on the range ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something the range was told to do, or a state it chose on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a demo mode that lights the display but never heats, a pan warning on an induction zone. Nothing has worn out, and no part is needed. ### Usually leads to No repair Press Settings until SAbb appears, press 1 to switch it on or off, then press Start to save. ### Shows up as Range Control Panel Not Responding The touch keys or knobs on the range do nothing, only some keys work, the display is blank or frozen, or it beeps without starting. ### Make Kenmore A Sears store brand whose ranges were built for it by other appliance manufacturers. ### Source Kenmore Use & Care Guide, electric range 982.9684# Kenmore electric range model 982.9684#; the induction model 982.9685# uses the same Settings routine. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Kenmore's own guidance for SAbb on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Press Settings until SAbb appears, press 1 to switch it on or off, then press Start to save. ### Cleared? The range was set right without a new part. If the same message comes back while a burner or the oven is in use, or the range cuts out again, treat it as a new problem and book it. ### What not to do SAbb is not a code for a problem. ## What you may notice with it. Press Settings until SAbb appears, press 1 to switch it on or off, then press Start to save. ### How do I leave Sabbath mode on my Kenmore? Go back to SAbb in Settings, press 1 to switch it off and Start to save. ### Could SAbb explain why my Kenmore controls seem limited? Yes. A range left in Sabbath mode restricts what the controls do, so check that setting before booking a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Kenmore range showing SAbb | RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/kenmore-sabb/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
