The pan, the switch behind the knob and the wiring to the element come first; on induction, the power board and the coil under the glass are checked next. Turn the oven off if it is running, and leave the range top off for 5 minutes to cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does JennAir tell me to turn off the oven for a C81 code? The oven below adds heat to the surface area, and C81 means that area already ran too hot. Switching the oven off helps the range top cool during the 5-minute wait. ### My JennAir shows C82 every time I use two large zones. Is that a problem? An occasional shutoff under heavy use can happen, but a code that repeats in normal cooking suggests the cooling or a sensor is not keeping up.
