ER06 is the Smart Burner's catch-all. Anything the rest of the list does not describe ends up here, and any cooking cycle is stopped when it appears. Hestan range display · also shown as ER 06 What to do when ER06 shows on the range ### Kind of code Burners and ignition A burner was asked to light and the range did not sense a flame, or the spark kept firing after the flame was there. Moisture or food in the igniter and a cap sitting out of place are ruled out before the spark module or a switch is replaced. A smell of gas outranks any code: leave the house and phone the gas utility from outside. ### Usually leads to Burner and igniter repair Gas burners that will not light, keep ticking or burn with a weak, yellow or uneven flame, traced to the igniter, the spark switch, the module or the burner itself. ### Shows up as Range Burner Won't Light A gas burner on the range top clicks but never catches, lights only after a long delay, or does nothing at all when the knob is turned. ### Make Hestan A California maker of professional-style gas and dual-fuel ranges with a restaurant-kitchen background. ### Source Hestan KRD dual-fuel range use and care manual, Smart Burner codes Hestan KRDS smart ranges. Turn the Smart Burner off; the other burners are separate and can be used as normal if they light properly. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Does ER06 on my Hestan mean the other burners are unsafe? ER06 is a Smart Burner code shown on that burner's knob. The standard burners have their own ignition; if they light and burn cleanly, they can be used while you wait. ### Why does Hestan give ER06 no owner fix? ER06 covers problems the rest of the list does not name, so there is no single thing to try. The cause has to be found on site. --- **[Read on the site: Hestan Smart Burner showing ER06 | RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/hestan-smart-burner-er06/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
