ER01 appears on the knob display of Hestan's Smart Burner, the connected burner on KRDS models that works with a Cue pan. It means the burner was heating but the pan's temperature did not climb, usually because the pan is off-center or was lifted away. Hestan range display · also shown as ER 01 What to do when ER01 shows on the range ### Kind of code Burners and ignition A burner was asked to light and the range did not sense a flame, or the spark kept firing after the flame was there. Moisture or food in the igniter and a cap sitting out of place are ruled out before the spark module or a switch is replaced. A smell of gas outranks any code: leave the house and phone the gas utility from outside. ### Usually leads to Burner and igniter repair Gas burners that will not light, keep ticking or burn with a weak, yellow or uneven flame, traced to the igniter, the spark switch, the module or the burner itself. ### Shows up as Uneven Range Burner Flame A gas burner flame is taller on one side, has gaps, burns yellow or orange, lifts off the burner, or roars instead of burning quietly. ### Make Hestan A California maker of professional-style gas and dual-fuel ranges with a restaurant-kitchen background. ### Source Hestan KRD dual-fuel range use and care manual, Smart Burner codes Hestan KRDS dual-fuel smart ranges with a Smart Burner and Hestan Cue cookware. Put the pan back in the center of the Smart Burner. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Hestan Smart Burner show ER01 when I move the pan? Lifting the pan means the burner keeps heating while the pan's sensor sees no rise, and that is the condition ER01 reports. Set the pan back in the center and restart. ### Can I use a regular pan without getting ER01 on my Hestan? Yes, in Manual Mode. Temperature-guided cooking needs the Cue pan, and ER01 comes from that mode. --- **[Read on the site: Hestan Smart Burner showing ER01 | RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/hestan-smart-burner-er01/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
