C-24 tells you the oven's venting is blocked. Dacor's manual names aluminum foil, or other material laid in the oven, as the thing to look for. Dacor range display What to do when C-24 shows on the range ### Kind of code Oven heating The oven under the burners called for heat and the cavity did not warm the way the control planned. On an electric oven a bake or broil element that has burned open is the usual cause; on a gas oven the igniter and the valve it opens come first. The wiring and the relay are checked before the board takes the blame. ### Usually leads to Bake and broil elements An electric range oven that stays cold, heats only from above or below, or will not broil, traced to the elements, their terminals or the relay that switches them. ### Shows up as Range Oven Not Heating The burners or elements on top work, but the oven below stays cold, heats only a little, or never finishes preheating. ### Make Dacor A Samsung-owned luxury brand that sells professional-style gas, dual-fuel and induction ranges. ### Source Dacor 30-inch Transitional gas range user manual, troubleshooting Dacor Transitional gas and dual-fuel ranges. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for C-24 on its ranges. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Open the oven door and leave it for at least 60 seconds, or disconnect power, to reset the message. 02 Find and remove any foil or other material blocking an oven vent or air passage, then run the oven again. ### Still there? Open the oven door and leave it for at least 60 seconds, or disconnect power, to reset the message. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### I lined my Dacor oven floor with foil and now see C-24. Is that why? Very likely. Dacor names foil as the usual thing that blocks an oven vent or air passage. Take it out, reset the message and run the oven again. ### How do I clear C-24 on my Dacor range? Dacor's reset is to open the oven door for at least a minute, or disconnect power, after the blockage is removed. If C-24 returns with nothing in the way, book a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Dacor range showing C-24 | RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/error-codes/dacor-range-c-24/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
