Cafe, a GE Appliances brand, sells ranges in every fuel: 30-inch smart slide-ins in gas, radiant electric, dual fuel and induction, plus 36- and 48-inch commercial-style models with six burners and a griddle on the largest. The pro-style models run their ovens with knobs and a small display rather than a touch panel. Cafe covers 30-inch slide-ins with front controls, several with double ovens or a warming drawer, and 36- and 48-inch commercial-style ranges. Width, fuel and whether the oven is knob- or touch-controlled all change which parts a visit needs. ### Pro models up to 48 inches Cafe's commercial-style ranges come in 36- and 48-inch widths, all-gas or dual fuel, with six burners and a griddle on the 48-inch dual-fuel model. More burners and a griddle mean more parts on the range top to check. ### Knobs run the pro ovens On the professional dual-fuel ranges, an oven mode selector and a temperature knob set the oven, and a function code is cleared by turning both to OFF and letting the oven cool for an hour. ### Broil only with the door shut The pro dual-fuel ovens will not broil with the door open. The display asks you to close it and the elements wait, which can look like a dead broiler. ### Induction gives a pan 25 seconds On Cafe induction slide-ins, a pan that is not ferrous or is too small leaves the element's ON light flashing for 25 seconds before it gives up. The pan is the first thing to check. Parts Cafe shares sensors, many gas parts and control conventions with the wider GE Appliances family, which keeps common parts within reach. Commercial-style burner parts, griddle elements and induction boards are more specific and may need ordering. Repair or replace Cafe ranges are built to last and cost enough that almost any single repair is worth doing, from an igniter to a sensor or door lock. Replacement only earns a look when a cracked glass top meets a failed induction board on an older unit. Book your Café visit ## What we are called out for. Check the door first. These ovens broil only with the door closed, and the display shows CLOSE DOOR while the elements wait. ### How do I clear an F code on a Cafe pro range with knobs? Turn the oven mode selector and the temperature knob to OFF, let the oven cool for an hour and try again. If the code returns after a 30-second power cut, book a visit. ### Why does the ON light flash on my Cafe induction range? The element did not find a usable pan. Try a pan a magnet sticks to and that covers the minimum size of that ring. ### Do Cafe ranges use GE Appliances codes? The Cafe manuals list a generic F code, and GE Appliances publishes the meanings for its ranges and wall ovens on one shared page. --- **[Read on the site: Cafe Range Repair | RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/brands/cafe/)** **[Book a visit with RangeRepair.center](https://rangerepair.center/schedule/)**
